St Mary Magdalene & Holy Jesus Trust is a registered charity providing sheltered accommodation (almshouses), support services and a social care home to older persons with limited financial means. There are currently 117 bungalows on the site, 16 flats at Magdalene Court and 5 'Chippendale' Court properties.

The St Mary Magdalene and Holy Jesus Trustee Limited is the trustee of the Charity. The Charity is governed by a Board of 10 Company Directors (Charitable Trustees) who delegate day to day management to the General Manager. The bungalows within the complex are managed by the Home Care Manager, who is the Registered Manager of the domiciliary care service. The social care home is managed by the Residential Care Manager who is also the Registered Manager. Both services are registered, regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission and have achieved excellent ratings. Newcastle City Council has also awarded the Charity a 5 Star Award for standards of hygiene within the Kitchen which serves the residents of the sheltered housing complex and Home.

The Charity has a long tradition of providing personal care, domestic services and practical and emotional support to enable the residents of the sheltered housing complex (almshouses) to achieve maximum independence and remain within their home. We are committed to providing high standards of care and service delivery. We aim to treat each resident as an individual with rights and choices and to give each resident the opportunity to enhance their quality of life and maintain their maximum level of independence.
