- 16 one bed St Mary Magdalene bungalows situated within the grounds of the St Mary Magdalene & Holy Jesus Trust
- Each bungalow has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom
- We encourage residents to maintain their independence in accordance with their abilities and wishes
- We provide personal care, practical assistance and social support to enable residents to remain in their own homes for as long as they are able
- The services provided are registered, regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission
- A copy of the latest inspection report can be obtained from the Trust or from the Care Quality Commission
- Allocated to poor Freemen, aged over 50 years, whose partners, if they have them, may live in the homes with them or, if there are insufficient applicants to fill these vacancies, for poor women aged over 50 years being the widows or single daughters of Freemen
- In exceptional circumstances, a resident who lives outside of the area of benefit or who has not lived in the area of benefit for the required number of years but is otherwise qualified may be appointed. The number appointed under this arrangement must not exceed one third of the number of residents at any one time
- Where there is no reasonable and foreseeable prospect of suitably qualified Freemen applicants being appointed, non- Freemen applicants may be considered
- On the death of either partner of a Freemen couple, the trustee has discretion regarding the transfer of the remaining partner to alternative accommodation on site
